James Blunt has come fourth in a poll of the oost Irritating Things in Britain – but he reckons he could’ve done better. Results from the unusual poll suggest the You're Beautiful' singer has suffered a British version of
Tall Poppy Syndrome’ following the success of his debut album `Back To Bedlam’, which sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. But he seems to have kept his sense of humour intact. Commenting on the poll, James jokes, “When I heard about it I was devastated because I just thought fourth was really unfair. Who on earth beat me? I thought I should have been number one. Next year I’m going to do better than that – I’m going to go for at least top three.” [16 october 2006]
