She looks so loved-up, we hate to spoil things but… Jessica Simpson’s mates fear her new boyfriend, former NFL football star Eric Johnson, is simply using her to get famous. Jessica has been posting pictures of her and Eric – who graduated from Yale University – kissing on her website. But a concerned friend warns, “I don’t care if he’s so smart and all that. I get the sense he’s more interested in people knowing he’s dating Jessica Simpson rather than truly caring about Jess and her needs.” An ex of his also describes him as a “fame whore” and “the kind of guy who is really into dating famous women”. Eric only filed for divorce from his wife in February this year, however, he insists his feelings for Jessica are true. one of his friends has rubbished rumours that he’s only dating her to lift his profile, saying, “That’s totally ridiculous and wrong. He is a really good guy and he’s as nuts about Jessica as she is about him.”
