Hugh Laurie plays a medical mastermind in the TV series ‘House’, but he has confessed he never actually gets sick himself, even with a common cold. The star revealed on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ that he was excited to have finally caught a cold after a lifetime without illness. “I’m excited about it because for so many years I believed that I didn’t get colds because, basically, nothing could live in this body,” says the British actor. “I was so addled with booze and cigarettes… but it appears I have curb appeal after all.” He’s so pleased with the new development he’s even hoping to “string it out” so that he can experience it for longer. “I don’t know how I got it. The whole thing is so novel that I feel like I’ve sort of rejoined the human race,” he adds.
