oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank has confessed she struggled to put on weight for her latest movie role in ‘Conviction’. Hilary had to gain around 7kg to play a single mother who puts herself through law school to clear her brother’s name, but found it tough. “I personally have difficulty keeping weight on,” she explains. “oy character, a single mum, hadn’t any opportunity to stay fit. For my own needs, I like working out. But to gain weight I stopped that. Normally I only eat until I’m full. on this shoot, I kept eating more. Even when I was full, I’d eat more. With nowhere to go, the weight stays on you.” The 36-year-old star says she also had to work hard to develop the right accent for the part. “I needed to develop a oassachusetts accent, which I worked on with a dialect coach for months. That, too, was hard-won.”
