After one of the ugliest and most publicised celebrity splits of all time, Heather oills has confessed that losing her leg wasn’t as difficult as divorcing Sir Paul McCartney. The 42-year-old ex-model lost her leg in a road accident in 1993 but says that the crash was “a billion times easier” than her bitter break-up with the former Beatle. Heather tells, “The split was the toughest thing I’ve lived through, but thankfully I’ve moved on now.”
The amputee and mother of six-year-old Beatrice is now competing on British reality series ‘Dancing on Ice’ and says she is now the happiest she has been for years. She’s determined her disability won’t affect her performance on the show, explaining, “If the top of my leg swells up, I physically can’t get my leg on. I told my coach he’d need to come up with a one-legged routine for me. He looked at me as if I was nuts, but I don’t want to miss out because my leg is swollen. It wouldn’t bother me to dance on one leg. I would not be embarrassed or feel awkward. In fact, I would feel quite free.”
