‘Harry Potter’ star can’t get a date

Emma Watson has admitted that she has trouble getting dates. The 16-year-old – who plays Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter' films - explains, "People say to me 'oh it must be so easy for you - dating and boys. They must be lining up for you'. It's really not easy. I suppose guys are either kind of intimidated by me and they have defences up, or they like to take the p*ss out of me. It's a minefield, to be honest. It's stressful. I'll just have to wait. Maybe someone will find me." Emma also dismisses her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint as possible romantic links, citing her close friendships with the pair as the reason she wouldn't want to be involved any further. The starlet is currently in contract negotiations to star in the final two films in the Harry Potter’ series. [27 September 2006]
