Gwen Stefani has broken a finger while doing a spot of clothes-making. The 36-year-old – who is an acclaimed fashion designer – was using an industrial-sized sewing machine at home when she had the accident. Apparently the eight months pregnant singer had been under pressure when the accident happened. “Gwen was up against a deadline and was hurriedly putting some new samples together,” says a source. “Unfortunately, she forgot to lock down the settings and when she started operating the machine again, the material was ripped through its jaws. As Gwen struggled to save the sample, her finger was bent right back.” Her rocker hubby Gavin Rossdale rushed her to hospital, where a brace was put on. “It was only a slight fracture but was still really painful,” the insider added.
