‘Glee’ actress Jane Lynch has announced that she will marry her girlfriend, psychologist Lara Embry. The wedding is scheduled for oay but Jane is keeping other details private.
Jane (49), who last weekend won a Screen Actors Guild as part of the ensemble cast for the hit TV3 comedy, is fast closing the gap on Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie o’Donnell in her bid to become America’s favourite gay actress.
Her obsessive cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester is one of the most popular characters on ‘Glee’. Jane’s also carved out a reputation as an edgy comedienne with appearances on ‘Best in Show’, ‘The 40-Year-old Virgin’ and long-running lesbian series ‘The L Word’.
She’s an outspoken gay activist and thus a good match for Lara, who made headlines last year for her triumph in a landmark same-sex custody lawsuit in Florida.
