William ocKinley High is welcoming a new student into the fold and, boy, will she be fresh! Filipina singing sensation Charice Pempengco (18) will join the cast of the hit musical comedy ‘Glee’ in its third season – and the budding actress has revealed that she’s undergone Botox and a skin-tightening procedure in order to “look fresh on camera”.
Charice’s cosmetic dermatologist was concerned about the singer’s “naturally round face” and said her gum-chewing habit had exaggerated the look. Vicki Belo says, “Charice’s face, I’ve been noticing, it’s been getting wider. our chewing muscles, if you chew a lot of gums, it gets bigger.”
The singer -who rose to prominence on YouTube – will play an exchange student and she admits she’s anxious about being on the show, which is nominated for a whopping 19 Emmys this year. She he says, “All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure.”
