Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is pregnant to a British scriptwriter who she has been secretly dating in recent months. The singer was spotted having a heated argument at a café with Sacha Gervasi last week, but is reported to be overjoyed that she will give birth in the UK spring. A source reveals, “Geri is thrilled to be pregnant. Although this is totally unexpected she can’t wait to be a mum. It’s the best thing that could happen to her. She has had her problems in the past, battling bulimia, but now she is grown up and ready to be a mother. Not surprisingly, she’s very upset her relationship with Sacha hasn’t exactly gone to plan. But if she is alone when the baby arrives, then so be it. She’s a strong woman and will cope just fine.”
