The ex-Spice Girls haven’t been besties for a while, but being single mothers has drawn them back together.

A pal reveals, “Geri was in a similar situation to oel, with an acrimonious relationship with the father of her child. It’s an instant bond. Geri feels she understands what Mel is going through. Mel has told Geri she felt scared and humiliated. Geri believes this is the time to be kind and supportive, not to remember past conflicts.”

Meanwhile, one of oel’s exes has spoken out, saying the artist formerly known as Scary Spice is devastated by Eddie’s accusations of infidelity.

Former stripper Jason Steele says, “She’s a spiritual person and she’s looking into her soul, asking, ‘Why me?’ Mel would never cheat on someone she loves. All she really wants out of life is a family and a caring man. She’s not the sort of person to move in with someone or talk marriage if she hasn’t fallen head-over-heels in love. Thank God she has [daughter] Phoenix. She’s central to her life and will be giving her the energy to cope – no matter what Eddie throws at her.”
