George Michael may star in Coronation Street' in the soap's Christmas special. The singer - a big fan of the long-running TV show - met the cast after his concert in oanchester, England, last weekend. They offered the 43-year-old a guided tour of the set as well as the cameo role. A pal says, "George is a massive soap fan and absolutely adores Coronation Street’ and `EastEnders’. He is glued to them when he is not working and records them when he is away. He is not sure whether to take Coro Street up on their offer because he is so busy with his tour, but he was over the moon to be asked. He will definitely be going to meet everybody this week. He’s really looking forward to getting behind the bar at the Rovers Return and pulling a few pints.” [22 November 2006]
