He’s got a palatial mansion on the shores of Lake Como in Italy, but George Clooney might find it hard to relax after hearing explosives were discovered just metres away from the luxurious villa.
A 227kg bomb was found underwater close to George’s multimillion-dollar home and police were called in to defuse and dismantle it. The dangerous device, which is thought to have been dropped by a plane during World War II, was discovered along with mines and other raw explosives.
However, if George is feeling worried about the status of his European retreat, he isn’t showing it. In an official statement, the movie star jokes, “This is not the first bomb I’ve experienced.”
