Despite recent pictures of Elisabetta Canalis (32) apparently enjoying herself with girlfriends, she is reportedly upset about her split with actor George Clooney (50). The parents of the Italian model revealed that their daughter is “very down in the dumps” about the split, according to the Italian edition of ‘Vanity Fair’. “I’ve spoken to her, and she is very sad, but these things happen,” says Canalis’s mother Bruna. “He certainly would have made a good son-in-law, but it’s my daughter who has to decide,” Elisabetta’s father, Cesare says. The couple announced their split last week, parting ways after two years of dating. George was allegedly thinking about splitting from Canalis for the past month, according to a friend of the actor.
