FILM REVIEW: Rio 2

This is a fun film for the kids, and with strong themes of “saving the rainforest”, they even may learn a thing or two along the way.
Rio-2 Film

Rating M

Here comes another colourful, musical offering that is sure to hit all the right notes with the young kids, and maybe even with the adults. We pick the adventure back up with Blue, Jewel and their trio of offspring as they make their way deep into the Amazon jungle to find and help save a colony of rare blue Spix’s macaws. While the film’s plot may be predictable, a star-studded vocal cast, consisting of Anne Hathaway, Bruno Mars, New Zealand’s own Jemaine Clement and Jamie Foxx, keeps it light-hearted and entertaining. This is a fun film for the kids, and with strong themes of “saving the rainforest”, they even may learn a thing or two in the process.
