It’s the stuff that PR nightmares are made from! Two weeks ago, ‘American Idol’ winner Fantasia Barrino suffered an overdose and while her publicist at the time stated it was accidental, the singer herself has revealed she knew exactly what she wad doing.

Fantasia (26) says, “I didn’t have any fight in me. I didn’t care about anything. I just wanted out. At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that sh*t… I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can’t accidentally take a whole bottle of pills.”

In the weeks before her overdose, Fantasia’s affair with married man Antwaun Cook became headline news and the last straw for the distraught singer was when his wife Paula Cook went public with her side of the story.

“She is saddened and disheartened by the end of her marriage,” announced Paula’s divorce attorney. “She’s embarrassed, humiliated and distressed by the lack of respect that was shown for her marriage by os Barrino.”

However, Fantasia tells a different side of the story, claiming, “When I met him, he was separated. He wasn’t living in his home. He didn’t want to be back with his wife – that is what I was told.”
