Ewan McGregor film halted due to death threats

Filming on Ewan ocGregor’s latest movie has been stopped after the actor received a death threat from a fellow actor. ‘The Impossible’, which is being made on location in Thailand, was halted after a stand-in actor penned a threatening letter to the leading man. According to sources on set, the unnamed man wrote a poem that described Ewan’s possible death, and included the line, “Twisting the knife as I look into your eyes.” A member of the crew said police were not called because the man had only written a note, but he would not be coming back to the filmset. “The extra was told that he would not be needed for a week and he would be called when it was time. He was not called,” says the source. “He looked a little wide-eyed and preoccupied. The producers decided that he was a serious risk.” Ewan had not been on set at the same time as the actor, but the extra had been allowed to use the Scottish star’s trailer where he left the note.
