In a case of life imitating art, ‘The office’ star Jenna Fischer has just announced her engagement, matching her character Pam Beesly’s walk down the aisle. The 35-year-old actress accepted a proposal from writer Lee Kirk (37) during a recent holiday in Europe. The pair have been dating since January 2008 but it wasn’t until the Emmy Awards eight months later that they stepped out publicly for the first time, with Jenna describing Kirk as “my super-cute boyfriend”. This will be the first marriage for Kirk and the second for Jenna, who got divorced from her first husband, director James Gunn, in June 2007.
