Emma’s solo success

Emma Bunton has just had the second biggest hit of her solo career – but she’s not ruling out a reunion with ex-band mates from the Spice Girls. The singer, currently starring in a British version of Dancing With The Stars', has reached number three on the UK charts with her new single, Downtown’. Previously, Emma’s biggest solo hit was `What Took You So Long’ in 2001. But the singer has indicated she would be willing to reunite with the Spice Girls in the future. “I would definitely be up for making another record or doing a tour with the girls,” she says, adding, “But I don’t think it’s going to happen – well, not in the immediate future.” She continues, “That’s not because of any underlying reasons fans are not aware of. It’s just that our lives have changed since then with children, husbands and other commitments. It would be great to reform the Spice Girls but it would be difficult at this time to actually get us all in the same place at the same time.” [27 November 2006]
