Paper Giants: Magazine Wars tells the true story of the fierce rivalry between the two editors of Australia’s leading women’s magazines, Woman’s Day and New Idea, in the 1980s. Dulcie Boling and Nene King became bitter enemies as they battled it out for glossy supremacy in a weekly fight to outsell the other. Mostly covering Nene as she claws her underdog Woman’s Day to the top through fair means or foul, the mini-series is an exciting peek into the golden days of women’s magazines.
