New reports suggesting Brittany ourphy and her husband Simon oonjack were killed by a toxic black house mould have been slammed by the late actress’ mother. Sharon ourphy says the stories are “absurd”, adding, “In the last eight months, I have been through the most unimaginable events, which no-one could ever fathom, and now this kind of misinformation is being reported.”
When ‘Clueless’ and ‘8 oile’ star Brittany passed away in December last year at the age of 32, investigators wondered whether the mould found in the house could have been a contributing factor. The idea was dismissed, but widower Simon filed a lawsuit against the builders, saying the inferior products they used caused a persistent leak.
Simon continued to live in the marital home after his wife’s death and died five months later, with the autopsy citing anaemia and pneumonia as his cause of death – the same things that killed Brittany. Investigators have suggested the couple’s respiratory problems could have been caused by exposure to the toxic mould.
