He may be a world famous magician, but David Copperfield can’t make everything disappear. The Las Vegas based magician is being sued by a 22-year-old model who claims that David sexually assaulted and threatened her during a stay on his private island in the Bahamas.
The model met David at a show in 2007 and later that year spent some time with him on the island. However it has come to light she waited two years before pursuing a legal course of action and David’s lawyers have stated that the allegations are “extortion for money, plain and simple”.
David dated supermodel Claudia Schiffer for six years but the two split in 1999.
