Last month, it was confirmed Rosie Webster would return to Coronation Street, after a four year hiatus.

Helen Flanagan, who played the popular character for 12 years until her departure in 2012, left to appear on reality TV series I’m a celebrity, get me out of here.

But four years on and one baby down, Helen has confirmed she’ll be bringing Rosie back to the cobbles sometime very soon.

Scheduled to appear back on British screens in 2017, Kiwis will have to wait a good deal longer to see Rosie again, but details about her reappearance are already wetting audience’s appetites.

Returning from Miami with little sister Sophie, Rosie apparently arrives in Weatherfield harbouring a secret, and although initially pretends she has been living a life of glamour overseas – the truth still reveals a different story.

A spokesperson for Coro said: “On the surface it looks like Rosie has been living the high life in the States, but all is not what it seems as yet again Rosie brings a whole load of trouble to the Websters’ door.”

Back in 2012, Rosie left Weatherfield to make a reality TV show – a case of art imitating life – as Helen Flanagan then went onto star on reality TV after leaving the show.
