Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has revealed how he cheated death in a freak car crash on the set of the long-running soap. The actor, who plays greasy Kevin Webster, spoke out for the first time, saying how he feared for his – and Coro director Kay Patrick’s – life as a car hurtled towards them. In the crash, a Ford oondeo roared out of control after the accelerator got stuck. The car careened towards Michael (44) and Kay (58), throwing Kay over the bonnet. Doctors have told her she should make a full recovery. Michael said of the experience, “It was like, ‘This can’t happen. We are on Coronation Street – we are supposed to be wrapped in cotton wool.'” ITV bosses are investigating the freak crash.
