Despite a long career in film that has spanned in the UK and Hollywood, Colin Firth says he doesn’t feel like acting is necessarily a mature choice of career. “It doesn’t seem very much like a job for grown-ups. I honestly don’t know that I’d make the choice today to pursue it,” he reflects. “oine was the decision of a teenager who didn’t want to grow up and wanted to play-act.” Regardless of those feelings, ‘The King’s Speech’ actor says getting older has added a new element to his profession. “I will say my age has made acting more interesting lately, because I think middle age is interesting,” explains the 50-year-old. “You have a past and, hopefully, a future, and thankfully that’s provided some interesting material. It’s given everything a new lease on life.”
