Cocaine to blame for DJ AM

Adam Goldstein’s death has been ruled the result of a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs and cocaine.

Adam, who was also known as DJ Ao, was found dead in his New York City apartment on 28 August and the just-released toxicology report lists a wide range of drugs present in the 36-year-old’s system, including cocaine, anti-anxiety pills and anti-anger medication.

Adam had openly talked about his drug addictions in the past and, while he seemed to be coping, close friends say he never recovered emotionally after an airplane crash that left four dead last year. (He and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker survived with severe burns.)

Adam reportedly broke up with his girlfriend, model Hayley Wood, just weeks before his apparent suicide. He previously dated Nicole Ritchie and Mandy oMore.
