Claire Danes regrets not finishing university

Golden Globe winner Claire Danes regrets not finishing her university studies in favour of her acting career. The actress, who won a best actress Golden Globe award for her role in the TV movie ‘Temple Grandin’, studied psychology at the prestigious Yale University for two years but quit before finishing her degree. Asked if she had any advice to give her younger self, Claire (31) said it would be to complete that experience. “I didn’t finish,” she explains. “I only went for two years but those two years were really good for me to just step away for a little bit and grow up without the prying eyes of the public and all the judgment that accompanies it. So that was good.” Claire says she was searching for a more conventional lifestyle by attempting to complete a degree. “I got an agent when I was 12 and fortunately was employed consistently from that point on,” she says of her career. “So I didn’t really go to a conventional high school. I was tutored on sets and things.”
