Christina Aguilera says the first year of her married life has been a disappointment.
The ‘Ain’t No other Man’ singer – who has been with her music executive hubby Jordan Bratman for a total of five-and-a-half years – admits, “Marriage is hard. You’re surprised and disappointed by certain things in your first year. I think the biggest misconception is that everything is going to be perfect and nothing will go wrong.”
However, Christina reckons they have a strong bond which helps them get through tough times: “I’m prepared to grow old with this man. We look forward to the ups and downs.”
Christina, whose mother was physically abused by her father when she was growing up, has dedicated the song ‘Save Me From Myself’ on her new album to Jordan to thank him for all the support he has given her.
She is also set to guest star on a forthcoming episode of `CSI: New York’, which features a storyline about battered women. [16 November 2006]
