Charlie Sheen says it’s a “good thing” his ex-wife Denise Richards has started a relationship with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. Denise started seeing her former friend Heather Locklear’s ex when she split from Charlie, with whom she has two children, daughters Sam (2) and Lola (1). Now the `Two And A Half oen’ star has publicly spoken out about the break-up. “We’re trying to put all that nonsense aside and just do what’s right for the children and just be good responsible parents,” he says. “It’s hard enough to have a relationship that doesn’t work out, and who knows what everyone’s life is privately? But it’s even harder when it’s in the public eye and you see them with somebody else in magazines.” He adds, “At least I knew the guy that she wound up with – Richie. To know that it’s somebody decent and smart and a good parent to be around your children, that’s a good thing.” [7 November 2006]
