Catherine’s a diva!

Catherine Zeta-Jones has pulled out of the musical movie ‘Nine’ at the eleventh hour because filmmakers refused to make her role bigger.

“Catherine asked if writer Michael Tonkin could enlarge her part, but it’s an ensemble story,” an on-set spy tells us. “It always has been.”

The film is an updated adaptation of Frederico Fellini’s ‘8 1/2’ and will star Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

Producers are considering Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Liv Tyler, Keira Knightley and Kate Hudson to replace Catherine.
