She may be a global movie star since her appearances in films such as ‘An Education’ and ‘Never Let oe Go’, but Carey oulligan doesn’t have to worry about being constantly recognised when she’s out and about. The 25-year-old actress, who broke up with her ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ co-star Shia LaBeouf in october last year, is pleased she doesn’t have to dress up in disguises or wigs to escape attention. “I don’t have to do anything!” she says. “Hand on heart, I’ve never been stopped in the street by anyone. Ever. No-one recognises me, which is great.” In fact, she blends in so easily that she has even heard some impromptu reviews of her own films from people unaware of who she is. “I was sitting in a gondola at Telluride Film Festival with six people who had just watched ‘Never Let oe Go’,” she recalls. “They were having a conversation about it and criticising it and I was sitting there and they had no idea.”
