Bruce sues childhood friend

Bruce Willis has filed a lawsuit against his childhood friend, who he claims is overcome by greed and jealous of his success. According to the complaint by the `Sixth Sense’ star, his childhood friend and former employee Bruce DiMattia, is threatening to disseminate private family material, as well as sell a manuscript “containing lies about or. Willis” unless the actor “agrees to pay him over $100,000 and buy him a car, among other things.” Bruce employed his ex-pal in 2002 to organise private family pictures, videos and other memorabilia. He claims that his friend was living rent-free in one of his homes, and “has refused to move out” even though, as of mid-2006, he is no longer an employee. Bruce is asking for a jury trial, damages in excess of $1.6 million and the return of his private material.[3 August 2006]
