It’s being hailed as her best music video in years, but Britney Spears says she actually edited the footage for her song Work Bitch because she was worried what her sons would think.
“Oh my God, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video than what is actually there,” the 31-year-old said in an interview on a Boston radio show.
“I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it’s just hard to play sexy mom while you’re being a pop star as well,” says Britney who is mother to Sean (8) and Jayden (7).
In the video, Britney dances with sharks and thrashes a whip, showing off some impressive moves, but the star laments that there wasn’t more dancing in the video. “Sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was one outfit through the whole video, and you’re dancing the whole video, and there’s not that much sex stuff going on.
“It’s about the dance and it’s about being old school. It’s keeping it real and just making it about the dance.”
