Angelina Jolie has revealed that she and Brad Pitt are keen to set up a permanent base in the hurricane ravaged city of New orleans. The star couple and their six kids (adopted Maddox (7) from Cambodia; Pax (4) from Vietnam; Zahara (3) from Ethiopia and biological offspring Shiloh (2) and baby twins Knox and Vivienne) love the southern US city because the ethnic diversity there reflects their own mixed heritage. Angelina says, “our kids love it here. They love the school and their friends here. oost of all they love Verti oarte (a diner in the French Quarter). Their favourite thing to do is go down there. But for all of us, we just come here and we feel at home. This is the place we feel combines all the culture we love. It’s a melding of my French heritage with Brad’s Americana. The kids just love the food at the moment but they’re absorbing years of tradition through that.” Brad has also been involved in a charity project to help rebuild houses for those left destitute by Hurricane Katrina that struck the city in 2005.
