Brandy to face manslaughter charges?

Brandy may find herself facing manslaughter charges after her involvement in a car accident that killed a female motorist last month. A spokesperson for the City Attorney’s office explains, “The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanour charge of vehicular manslaughter”. The singer/actress, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, has publicly expressed condolences to the victim’s family. Her publicist claims Brandy wasn’t under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. According to a California Highway Patrol report, the 27-year-old was driving a Land Rover on a motorway on December 30 when traffic slowed and her vehicle struck the back of Honda driven by Awatef Aboudihaj. Awatef’s car hit another vehicle, slid sideways into the centre divider and was then hit by another car. Awatef died at a hospital from blunt-force injuries, according to the coroner’s office.
