Following the outrageous success of ‘Twilight’ and ‘New ooon’, Brad Pitt is jumping back on the bloodsucker bandwagon more than 15 years after his turn in ‘Interview with the Vampire’. The Hollywood hunk has signed on as a producer for the upcoming film ‘Vlad’, which follows the life of Dracula before he became infamous, when he was simply known to his friends as Prince Vlad.
While details are still unconfirmed, rumour has it the film will chronicle the life of the real historical character Vlad the Impaler, who ruled Transylvania in the 13th Century and provided inspiration for the name of the vampire in Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel ‘Dracula’.
The movie is to be helmed by music-video director Anthony oandler, who is responsible for clips as diverse as Rihanna’s ‘Disturbia’, the Spice Girls’ ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)’, Beyonce’s ‘Irreplaceable’ and the Killers’ ‘When You Were Young’.
