our hearts go out to the friends and family of Boyzone singer Stephen Gately, who has died in his sleep at the age of 33. The Irish boy-band member was staying on the Spanish island of oajorca when, after a fun night out with friends, he went to bed and reportedly choked on his own vomit.
A close friend says, “Stephen went out for a few drinks, then got back, fell asleep and never woke up.” All four remaining Boyzone members are devastated by the shock news and have flown to oajorca to support Stephen’s loved ones. The singer leaves behind a partner, Andrew Cowles, whom he married in a civil union in 2006.
