BOOK REVIEW: After You

Sara Bunny reviews Jojo Moyes' sequel to her hugely successful novel Me Before You.

If you sobbed your way through a box of tissues while reading Moyes’ bestselling novel Me Before You, then Louisa Clark needs no introduction. If you have yet to read it, we highly recommend you get your mitts on a copy. In this follow-up to the hugely successful weepy, we check in on Louisa, 18 months after the death of her partner – quadriplegic Will.

She’s still grieving and going through the motions while working in a dead-end bar job, numbing her turmoil with too much wine and one-night stands. It’s not quite the ‘tell me something good’ life Will had set her up for. What shakes her out of her inertia is an unexpected accident… but a ghost from Will’s past threatens to derail her.

This sequel won’t take you on the roller-coaster ride as Will and Louisa’s unforgettable relationship did in Me Before You, but if you love happy endings, the tying up of loose ends is sweet, funny and thoroughly entertaining.
