‘Survivor’ singer Beyoncé narrowly escaped serious injury in London recently when a taxi ripped off the door of her car. The 28-year-old was heading out for a romantic dinner with her husband Jay-Z (40) when an impromptu shopping stop resulted in the near-disaster.
After Beyoncé opened the door of her oercedes, a cab ran straight into it, ripping the door off its hinges and missing the famously bootylicious singer by inches. A witness reports, “It was terrifying to watch. It all happened so quickly; the taxi came out of nowhere! She seemed very shaken and was lucky to be alive. A couple of seconds’ difference and God knows what could have happened.”
After the accident, a jittery Beyoncé still made it out for dinner and was later spotted shopping up a storm in Top Shop. Hey, if a near-death experience isn’t excuse for a bit of retail therapy, we don’t know what is!
