Ben Affleck’s mother didn’t know about her son’s wedding until she saw TV coverage. It appears his decision to wed in the Caribbean was a last-minute one and there was time to invite only a few friends. His mother, Chris, was to have attended a bigger event in West Virginia with 400 guests but Ben and five-months pregnant bride Jennifer Garner thought that would turn into a circus and fled to a private cove on Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands. “I’m happy for them but I would like to have been there,” says Chris.
