Ashton’s a real-life hero

Ashton Kutcher – who plays a lifeguard in new movie `The Guardian’ – has become a real-life hero by saving his friend from drowning. The 28-year-old actor put his movie training into practice during a recent holiday. He reveals, “I went to Turkey with some English friends of ours. There was one older gentleman on the trip with us and he’d been drinking pretty much all day. He decided to go for a swim, and he got about ten feet away from the boat and started to go under. I just pulled him back to the boat, which wasn’t too difficult a task.” Meanwhile, wife Demi oMore is enjoying Ashton’s buff new body. “The new look’s gone down very well with my wife. She’s pretty much fallen for me all over again. I worked very hard with a trainer to get into good physical shape because I didn’t want to represent these coast guards without emulating them physically – and their physical condition is second to none.” [26 october 2006]
