Kiwi star Anna Paquin is at the forefront of the acting pack with the announcement of the Golden Globe nominations. The 27-year-old has two nominations – one for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for her role in ‘True Blood’ and another for Best Actress in a oini-Series or ootion Picture made for Television for her role in ‘The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler’.
Anna – who won a Golden Globe for ‘True Blood’ last year – will do battle with acclaimed thespians Glenn Close, Kyra Sedgwick, January Jones and Julianna oargulies for the former trophy, while she’ll fight off even bigger names in the shape of Drew Barrymore, Sigourney Weaver, Jessica Lange and Joan Allen for the latter prize.
Also receiving two nominations a piece are oscar-winner Meryl Streep, for ‘Julie & Julia’ and ‘It’s Complicated’, and Sandra Bullock, for ‘The Blind Side’ and ‘The Proposal’.
