Troubled singer Amy Winehouse was treated for nervous exhaustion after collapsing in her London home. Her family are blaming a chest infection coupled with the stress of her recent arrest on suspicion of assault.
A friend of Amy’s reports, “She’s been told to keep a low profile and fully recuperate. She has been feeling very ill of late and had a funny turn at home. She is quite unwell and exhausted over recent events but is soldiering on.”
Amy (26) was arrested on 19 December after causing a commotion at a pantomime production of ‘Cinderella’ in oilton Keynes, England. She is alleged to have attacked a theatre manager and will appear in court to answer charges of public order offence and common assault on 20 January.
The ‘Back to Black’ singer’s pal tells, “The last few weeks have been a massive setback for Amy, who was really turning a corner. Everyone in her camp is shocked by what has happened. The New Year doesn’t look set to get off to a good start, but Amy is determined and she’ll keep looking forward.”
