Actress Shannon Elizabeth is due to make a visit to New Zealand – to play poker. The `American Pie’ star, who played a sexy foreign exchange student in the movie, will take part in the main tournament at the $500,000 New Zealand Poker Championships and will compete in the Celebrity Poker Challenge for Charity in April, according to a spokesperson for Christchurch Casino. It’s not the first time Elizabeth – who was named one of Maxim magazine’s hottest women in the world – has gambled in a major championship. The actress won the first Nicky Hilton Caesars Palace New Year’s Eve poker tournament last year. [26 February 2007]
