She was the champion of the fourth season of ‘American Idol’ – and Carrie Underwood is a winner when it comes to love too! The chart-topping country singer has married her longtime beau, ice-hockey player Mike Fisher.
They tied the knot in front of 250 friends and family at a luxury resort. Classical music played as the couple read out their favourite passages from the Bible as part of the ceremony.
“We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family, who mean so much to us!” the newlyweds said in an official statement.
Carrie (27), who became engaged to Mike (30) in December last year, wore a oonique Lhuillier lace gown. ‘Idol’ judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson attended the ceremony.
