Alicia Silverstone talks pregnancy

She’s been starring as a mother on Broadway and now it’s all Alicia Silverstone can talk about! The actress, who plays a mum in the show ‘Time Stands Still’, had to don a pregnancy suit for the role. She says, “It was so much fun. I loved the feeling of pretending to be pregnant and having little arms and legs and this big belly.”

But is she ready to become pregnant in real life? Alicia – who’s been happily married to musician Christopher Jarecki for nearly five years – confesses, “It’s a thought that is never far from her mind. I’ve been wanting to have a baby since I was two years old!”

However, the actress will have to wait until she wraps filming on her new comedy ‘Vamps’ before taking the pregnancy plunge. The film is to be helmed by none other than Alicia’s ‘Clueless’ director Amy Heckerling, and Alicia thinks it’s funny how life has come around full circle.

She says, “Amy came to see me in the play because we’re friendly. But afterwards, we hung out and she introduced me to her producing partner. A few weeks later, they called me and said I got the movie.”

of reuniting with her former director, Alicia says. “I was a baby when we met. It’s crazy how long ago that was. Now it’ll be great to be a grown-up and work with her.”
