‘Eat Pray Love’ star James Franco has released his first book this month to coincide with the release of the blockbuster film, but there is one person he doesn’t want to buy a copy – his mother. The hunky actor has written a semi-autobiographical novel, entitled ‘Palo Alto Stories’, that touches on some of the mischief he got up to as a teenager. He says not everything in the book is factual, but he is worried about his mother Betsy reading it in case she learns some home truths about her son’s behaviour. “I told my mother she was not allowed to, maybe because she was there when I was a teen,” he says. “But she’s begged me to let her read it. I guess I’ll have to.”
