Rupert Friend has taken Beyonce’s advice and put a ring on his longtime girlfriend Keira Knightley. But they’re not engaged – it’s just a commitment band!
The ‘Pride & Prejudice’ co-stars have no plans to marry, however, there was a glimmer of hope on Keira’s 25th birthday, when Rupert took her out for breakfast and presented her with a box containing a gold-and-diamond ring.
It wasn’t the engagement ring that Keira had hoped for. Rather, Rupert said it was a “token of his love”. A friend reports Keira “was thrilled to get the ring”. The actress told her mate, “It’s a start.”
Rupert has described himself as a “wanderer, a bit of gypsy” who wants to establish himself properly as an actor before considering marriage. However, after four years together, we’re told Keira was getting a little fed up.
“Keira was beginning to feel broody and wants to feel Rupert is committed to being her partner for life,” says the friend.
