A Canadian woman – who didn’t know she was pregnant – has given birth while doing her supermarket shopping.

Ashleigh Miller-Cross gave birth to a daughter, Ezra, in the bathroom of The Bayers Lake Atlantic Superstore, after she began experiencing stomach pains while shopping.

The store’s assistant manager, Malcolm Comeau, helped deliver the little bub.

“I opened the door and Ashleigh was there and the baby was halfway out,” She just screamed at me, ‘I’m having a baby!’ and I automatically grabbed my phone and dialed 911.” Comeau said.

The shocked retail worker then ran to get help from a nearby medical clinic, and by the time he returned, the baby had been born.

Miller-Cross had another daughter, Mia, just ten months ago, and she says she had no clue she was expecting again.

“I really had no idea,” Miller-Cross told CTV News on Monday. “I presumed I hadn’t lost any weight because I only had Mia ten months ago, so I mean I didn’t grow any extra so it’s just the same size. I didn’t have any cravings.”

Photography studio Branches Photography contacted the new family with the offer of some gorgeous pictures to mark the surprise arrival.

Miller-Cross has since thanked those who helped her during little Ezra’s surprise arrival, and has since visited the store with her little girl.

“I want to thank everybody who has offered support, everyone who was giving us things. I especially want to thank Malcolm Comeau and the lady who helped me in the bathroom straight away. She was right there with me. Just everyone.”
