Pink has always been one of those celebrities with the rare ability to cut through the crap, and tell it how it is.

And in a new Instagram post, the mum of two sent an empowering message to fellow mothers, telling them exactly how she feels after welcoming her second child three months ago.

“Would you believe I’m 160 pounds [72.5kg] and 5’3 [160cm]? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese,” Pink wrote.

Beside a snap of her working out and looking stronger than ever in the gym, she continues: “I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese.

“The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies! #feelingmyself #strongismygoal #bodygoals”

The frightening thing is that by some BMI calculator standards, Pink is indeed classified as overweight.

The Heart Foundation’s calculator puts her in the overweight category, and suggests that someone of her height should have a weight range of between 47 and 64kg.

Pink’s no stranger to defending her appearance.

In 2015, she hit out at trolls who decided to comment on how heavy she was on the red carpet of a cancer benefit.

Quite rightly, Pink took the trolls to task.

“I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight. You’re referring to the pictures of me from last night’s cancer benefit that I attended to support my dear friend Dr. Maggie DiNome,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.

“She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer. But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you. While I admit that the dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful,” she continued.

The 37-year-old finished her powerful address with a message to her fans, kindly asking they mind their own business.

“So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either. I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern.”
